Calgary Flames
The Flames originally began as Atlanta, Georgia’s hockey team, and only arrived in Calgary, Alberta in 1980. With a home base of the Pengrowth Saddledome, this team has won one Stanley Cup, and nine Northwest championships. The Calgary Flames have long had a rivalry with its fellow Alberta team, the Edmonton Oilers; this feud has been called the “Battle of Alberta”. The team boasts a logo which is the image of a Flaming red “C”. Coached by Mike Keenan, the current team line up includes: Curtis McElhinney, Miikka Kiprusoff, Matt Keetley, Dion Phaneuf, Cory Sarich, Anders Eriksson, David Hale, Robyn Regehr, Adrian Aucoin, Rhett Warrener, Stephane Yelle, Owen Nolan, Jarome Iginla, Mark Smith, Eric Godard, Matthew Lombardi, Wayne Primeau, Kristian Huselius, Daymond Langkow, Craig Conroy, David Moss, Marcus Nilson, and Alex Tanguay.
