Formed in the early 2010s, 3Ball MTY helped popularize a hybrid style that blends electronic music, traditional Latin rhythms, and contemporary urban influences, creating a festive and percussive signature sound.

3Ball MTY gained international attention with the success of their album Inténtalo (2012), which charted in Mexico and the United States and featured standout tracks such as Inténtalo and Baile de Amor. The group marked a turning point in Latin electronic music by incorporating elements of regional Mexican music, including tribal percussion and sounds inspired by popular celebrations in northern Mexico.
