Airport 77

Airport 77 is coming to a venue near you with a disco revue celebrating groovy music from yesterday to today, brought together by a large ensemble of professional musicians and singers.

Airport 77 is devoted to disco and its connections to pop, funk, soul, and dance music. The collective brings together more than a dozen professional musicians and singers, a format that places vocals, rhythm, and arrangements at the centre of its identity. Its name evokes a chic and festive aesthetic closely associated with the classic disco era.

Disco became known for prominent bass lines, rhythmic guitars, strings, horns, and communal choruses. Airport 77 belongs to that legacy by highlighting a groovy repertoire that moves across different eras. The project connects classics associated with disco culture to songs that extend its influence across popular music.

Through its revue format, Airport 77 presents a broad portrait of a genre that remains a lasting reference point for fans of dance pop and soul-driven rhythms. The collective highlights the musical richness of disco and its importance in the history of popular music.
