Alash Ensemble

Alash Ensemble is coming to a venue near you with a musical tradition that has introduced the rich cultural heritage of Tuva to audiences around the world. Formed by musicians trained in traditional Tuvan music, the ensemble is internationally recognized for its mastery of throat singing, also known as khöömei, an ancient vocal technique that allows singers to produce multiple tones simultaneously. Blending these distinctive vocals with traditional instruments such as the igil, doshpuluur and khomus, Alash Ensemble helps preserve and celebrate one of the world's most unique musical traditions.

Throughout its career, Alash Ensemble has performed internationally at major world music festivals and cultural events. The group has also collaborated with acclaimed artists and ensembles including the Sun Ra Arkestra, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and Kronos Quartet. Its recordings, including Alash, Buura and Achai, showcase the depth of Tuvan musical traditions while highlighting creative collaborations with musicians from other genres.

Through its dedication to cultural preservation, musical excellence and international collaboration, Alash Ensemble has become one of the leading ambassadors of Tuvan throat singing and Central Asian traditional music. Get your tickets today on Tickets.ca.
