Barnatchok

Barnatchok is coming to a venue near you with a warm musical universe rooted in gypsy jazz, French-language songwriting, folk traditions, and world music influences. Barnatchok is a Montreal-based collective whose signature sound blends gypsy guitars, mandolin, accordion, double bass, clarinet, and vocals. Their music is characterized by colorful arrangements, evocative melodies, and a festive spirit inspired by both European traditions and Quebec culture.

Throughout its career, Barnatchok has built an original repertoire through releases such as La traversée and the BARNATCHOK EP. Songs including Montréal-Gaspé, Cerf-volant, Je pense à toi, and La traversée highlight the group’s connection to French-language songwriting, storytelling, and the cultural landscapes of Quebec.

Barnatchok therefore stands among the groups revitalizing gypsy jazz and francophone folk traditions with a contemporary sensibility, rich instrumentation, and a compelling live presence.
