BARRDO is coming to a city near you as a Quebec based indie rock project rooted in experimental folk, psychedelic rock, and contemporary Francophone songwriting. The project is led by Pierre Alexandre, a musician active in the Quebec independent music scene and also involved with the band Fuudge and the independent label Poulet Neige. BARRDO is characterized by a creative approach that blends psychedelic textures, experimental production techniques, and more traditional song structures, drawing influences from alternative pop, folk, and experimental rock.
BARRDO emerged in the mid 2010s with a strong focus on independent studio production. Their debut album Apologie des états seconds (2016) introduced a psychedelic and experimental sound, followed by L’éternel retour (2019), which expanded their palette with elements of folk, pop, and experimental rock. Subsequent releases such as Les méandres de la soif and Amer faste show an ongoing evolution toward hybrid musical forms and a willingness to explore varied sonic landscapes. The project often features organic instrumentation, layered arrangements, and a mix of lo fi and polished production styles.
Through its independent approach and stylistic diversity, BARRDO occupies a distinct place within the Quebec alternative music scene. The project reflects an artistic philosophy centered on experimentation and creative freedom while remaining connected to Francophone songwriting traditions. Get your tickets now at Tickets.ca.
