Beliefs

Beliefs is coming to a city near you as a Canadian indie rock and shoegaze band known for its atmospheric soundscapes and immersive sonic textures. Formed in Toronto, the project is led by Jesse Crowe and Josh Korody, who collaborate to create music rooted in dream pop, shoegaze, and experimental indie rock. Their sound is characterized by layered guitars, reverb heavy production, and vocals often used as an additional textural element rather than a traditional focal point, resulting in a deeply atmospheric listening experience.

Beliefs first gained recognition with their self titled debut album Beliefs, released in 2014 on the Canadian independent label Hand Drawn Dracula. The record established the duo within the alternative music scene, showcasing their ability to blend shoegaze influences with modern indie rock sensibilities. In 2018, they released Habitat, a follow up project that expanded their sonic palette with more refined production and a continued focus on mood driven composition while maintaining their core atmospheric identity.

Through their emphasis on sound design and texture based songwriting, Beliefs has become a notable presence in Canada’s indie and shoegaze community. Their work reflects the ongoing evolution of modern shoegaze and its place within contemporary alternative music. Get your tickets now at Tickets.ca.
