Boskorgï

Boskorgï is coming to a venue near you, inviting music lovers to immerse themselves in a unique and captivating lo-fi instrumental universe. Formed in Montreal by illustrator Thomas B. Martin and journalist Antoine Bordeleau, this innovative duo has carved out a singular artistic path within the Canadian alternative scene. The history of the project is rooted in an initial spontaneous musical collaboration revolving around a Korg Minilogue synthesizer and a Boss sampler. It is precisely the combination of these two iconic devices that gave birth to the formation’s distinctive name. Deeply inspired by the Los Angeles Beat Scene, the group delivers refined compositions that seamlessly blend elements of experimental hip-hop, electronica, ambient music, and jazz.

The duo’s career is defined by productions characterized by a mellow aesthetic and an elegant sonic calmness. Boskorgï made a significant impact with the release of their debut full-length album titled Jazz Pranksters, released under the Sainte Cécile record label and supported by Bravo musique éditions. This instrumental record features remarkable tracks such as Convalescence, Délire universel, Speakeasy, Thwip, and Arcturus. Each piece showcases rigorous technical mastery and a sharp sense of sonic experimentation, merging the graphic vision of Thomas B. Martin with the rich cultural background of Antoine Bordeleau.

Beyond their official studio releases, the musicians have established their identity by participating in major provincial events, including a notable appearance at the Festival OFF de Québec. Their creations stand out due to a comprehensive artistic approach where design and visual marketing harmonize perfectly with their lo-fi sonic explorations. By building a solid bridge between retro textures and modern rhythms, the formation has established itself as an essential reference for fans of high-quality instrumental chill-hop and electronic pieces.
