Bosnian Rainbows is coming to a venue near you with an inventive blend of alternative rock, new wave, post-punk, and experimental music. Formed in 2012, the band brings together guitarist and producer Omar Rodríguez-López, best known for The Mars Volta and At the Drive-In, vocalist Teri Gender Bender of Le Butcherettes, bassist Nicci Kasper, and drummer Deantoni Parks. Together, they created a distinctive sound that combines memorable melodies with electronic textures and adventurous songwriting.
In 2013, the group released its self-titled debut album, Bosnian Rainbows, featuring songs such as Torn Maps, Worthless, Morning Sickness, and Always on the Run. The album received praise for balancing experimental ideas with accessible song structures while highlighting Teri Gender Bender's dynamic vocals and Omar Rodríguez-López's innovative compositions. Although the project was relatively short-lived, it remains an important chapter in the careers of its acclaimed members.
