Boys Like Girls is coming near you with the legacy of a band that helped define the pop punk and pop rock movement of the 2000s. Formed in Andover, Massachusetts, in 2005, the band features vocalist Martin Johnson, guitarist John Keefe, bassist Gregory James and drummer Jamel Hawke. From the beginning, Boys Like Girls earned recognition through memorable melodies, anthemic choruses and a strong presence within the North American pop rock scene.
The band's self titled debut album, Boys Like Girls, was released in 2006. It includes several of the group's best known songs, including The Great Escape, Hero/Heroine, Thunder and Five Minutes to Midnight. The Great Escape became an international hit and introduced the band to a wide audience, while Hero/Heroine and Thunder also achieved significant radio and television exposure.
In 2009, Boys Like Girls released its second studio album, Love Drunk. The title track became one of the band's signature songs, while Two Is Better Than One, featuring Taylor Swift, remains one of the most recognized collaborations in the group's catalogue. The band followed with Crazy World in 2012 before returning with Sunday at Foxwoods in 2023, ending a lengthy gap between studio albums.
