Calpurnia is coming to a venue near you, bringing their vibrant energy and infectious sound to fans of indie rock and alternative pop. Formed in Vancouver in 2017, this young Canadian band rapidly captured international attention. The lineup consisted of Finn Wolfhard on vocals and rhythm guitar, Ayla Tesler-Mabe on lead guitar, Jack Anderson on bass, and Malcolm Craig on drums. Together, they established a fresh sonic identity by blending 1990s rock influences with a sharp, modern pop sensibility.
The band’s studio career materialized brilliantly with the release of their debut EP, titled Scout, in 2018 under Royal Mountain Records. This highly successful project featured standout tracks such as City Boy, Greyhound, and Louie. The single City Boy notably reached impressive heights on global alternative charts, accumulating millions of streams on digital platforms and solidifying the group’s reputation among a dedicated young fanbase worldwide.
Throughout their notable musical journey, the musicians also released the standalone single Cell in 2019, showcasing their evolving songwriting abilities. Although their time together was brief before their amicable disbandment in late 2019, the formation left an undeniable mark on the Canadian independent rock scene. Their creative output continues to resonate with listeners who appreciate a clever fusion of retro textures and contemporary rhythms. Secure your seats today and buy your tickets on Tickets.ca.
