Cavern of Anti-Matter

Cavern of Anti-Matter is coming to a venue near you, presenting the work of a British experimental music project led by musician Tim Gane, best known for his role in Stereolab and his contributions to minimalist and electronic music. Cavern of Anti-Matter operates within a creative space where krautrock, experimental rock and electronic music intersect, with a strong focus on texture, repetition and evolving sonic structures.

The project emerged in the 2010s and quickly established a distinctive identity influenced by 1970s German krautrock as well as contemporary electronic and experimental music scenes. Cavern of Anti-Matter’s sound is characterized by repetitive compositions, synthesizer-driven sequences and immersive arrangements that emphasize gradual transformation rather than traditional song structures.

Notable releases include the album Blood Drums (2013), which helped define the project’s early direction, followed by Void Beats / Invocation Trex (2016) and Hormone Lemonade (2019). These works highlight a collaborative approach to composition that blends electronic rhythms, minimal guitar work and experimental production techniques. The project has also participated in international performances and collaborations within the experimental music circuit.
