Cellar Darling

Cellar Darling is coming near you with a musical vision that blends progressive metal, folk metal, progressive rock and Celtic influences. Formed in Switzerland in 2016, the band features Anna Murphy, Ivo Henzi and Merlin Sutter, three musicians who previously performed together in Eluveitie. Through this new project, they created a distinctive artistic identity that combines traditional instruments, modern arrangements and ambitious conceptual songwriting.

Cellar Darling released its debut album, This Is the Sound, in 2017 through Nuclear Blast. The band followed with The Spell in 2019, a concept album inspired by the cycle of life and death, featuring songs such as Insomnia, Death, Love, Pain and The Spell. In 2021, Cellar Darling introduced The Quest, a narrative project released in chapters alongside new music, further expanding the group's interest in immersive storytelling and long form musical concepts.

The band is recognized for incorporating the hurdy-gurdy, flute and other traditional instruments into its progressive sound. Anna Murphy has also earned recognition as a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter whose versatility plays a central role in shaping Cellar Darling's musical identity. The group's work has been praised for balancing heaviness, melody and richly atmospheric arrangements.

With a catalogue that unites folk influences, progressive rock and contemporary metal, Cellar Darling has established itself as one of the most distinctive bands in the European metal scene. Buy your tickets on Tickets.ca now and follow the next chapter of Cellar Darling's career.
