Citizen

Citizen is coming near you with a catalogue that has secured the band a lasting place in American alternative rock.

Formed in 2009 between Toledo, Ohio, and Michigan, Citizen first developed a sound associated with post-hardcore and indie rock. Its debut album, Youth, arrived in 2013 and includes The Night I Drove Alone, How Does It Feel?, and The Summer. The record established the foundation of a catalogue marked by expressive guitars and direct songwriting.

The band followed with Everybody Is Going to Heaven in 2015, As You Please in 2017, and Life In Your Glass World in 2021. That album includes I Want to Kill You and The Night I Drove Alone on its Deluxe Edition. In 2023, Citizen released Calling The Dogs, produced by Rob Schnapf, featuring If You're Lonely, Hyper Trophy, When I Let You Down, and Can't Take It Slow. Halcyon Blues, the band's sixth album, arrived in 2026 after the singles Highs and Lows, I Can See You From Here, and Halcyon Blues. Citizen's ability to develop its language between post-hardcore intensity and indie rock melody has shaped a career spanning more than 15 years.
