Coline Rio

Coline Rio is coming near you with French songwriting where piano, folk and pop support intimate lyrics about connection, memory, vulnerability and rebuilding.

Raised in a musical family, the French singer-songwriter studied piano and voice from childhood. She first gained recognition as the lead singer of the Nantes-based group Inüit, whose album Action blended pop with electronic sounds, before beginning a solo career centred on lyrics written in French.

Her debut EP, Lourd et délicat, introduced her sensitive writing through songs including Horizon. Her first album, Ce qu’il restera de nous, features tracks such as Elle laisse, Paysage and Monstres. The record received a Coup de cœur distinction from the Académie Charles-Cros, confirming Rio as one of the emerging voices in French chanson.

The collaborative project Ce qui nous lie allowed her to revisit her repertoire with artists including Albin de la Simone, Voyou and Camille. Her second album, Maison, continues that inward exploration through Manteau chagrin, Lettre à soi, Grand-mère, Refuge and La gentillesse, recorded with Barbara Pravi. Fans of poetic lyrics, gentle arrangements and emotionally precise storytelling will discover an artist who transforms personal experiences into songs with universal resonance.
