Death Grips

Death Grips is an experimental band from Sacramento, formed in 2010 by vocalist MC Ride (Stefan Burnett), drummer Zach Hill and keyboardist Andy Morin.

From the start, they carved out a radical space in the alternative music scene by blending industrial hip-hop, punk, noise and electronic elements into a sound that's abrasive, chaotic and uniquely compelling. Their breakout mixtape Exmilitary (2011) gained critical attention, followed by the landmark album The Money Store (2012), which has since become a genre-defining cult classic. Known for defying industry norms, Death Grips released No Love Deep Web without warning, with a censored and controversial cover.

The band rarely gives interviews, has cancelled shows without explanation, and embraces a cryptic, rebellious persona that only deepens their underground legend. Despite their unpredictability, or perhaps because of it, they’ve built one of the most dedicated and intense fanbases in alternative music. On stage, Death Grips delivers explosive, uncompromising performances that feel more like confrontations than concerts.
