Distant Matter

Distant Matter is coming near you with electronic music that connects nostalgia, futuristic production, and pop emotion.

Behind this Toronto project is Alexander Morris, a DJ, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Since launching Distant Matter, he has earned more than 20 million streams and developed a world that moves through dance sounds, house rhythms, and electronic melodies. His path includes appearances at the Canadian festivals VELD and Escapade, as well as a growing presence among the country's new generation of electronic producers.

Distant Matter has built a catalogue of collaborations that shows the range of his influences. Drunk Wishing with Arden Jones, u & i with fkblnde, Break a Sweat with Łaszewo, Keep You with Transviolet, and Want Me with Emilia Ali highlight his work with different voices. His album Vivid Nostalgia includes Familiar, Jalisco, All The Love, April Fools, and Superstar. He has also added Four Chords with Allegra Miles, Dinner at 3am with DLG., Recognize, and a remix of someone new to his catalogue. Through these releases, Distant Matter has become a Toronto name to follow in contemporary dance music.
