An acclaimed actress, singer and television host, Dorothée Berryman is one of Quebec's most versatile performers. Over the course of her distinguished career, she has become widely recognized for her roles in The Decline of the American Empire and The Barbarian Invasions, the Academy Award-winning film for Best Foreign Language Film. Many will also remember her portrayal of Julie in the television series Des Dames de cœur, while newer audiences have enjoyed seeing her in the series Mea Culpa. Jazz enthusiasts will also recognize her as the longtime host of Radio-Canada's ICI Musique jazz programming from 2004 to 2011. On stage, she has brought works by celebrated playwrights including Michel Tremblay, Tennessee Williams, Molière, William Shakespeare and Eugène Ionesco to life with equal passion.
As a singer, Dorothée Berryman has released three albums and has been invited to perform at the Montreal International Jazz Festival on numerous occasions. For this series of performances, she will be accompanied by her trio featuring Vincent Réhel on piano, Dave Watts on double bass and Camil Bélisle on drums.
