Earl Sweatshirt is an American rapper, songwriter and producer known for his introspective lyrics and innovative style. Born Thebe Neruda Kgositsile in Chicago, he grew up in Los Angeles and rose to prominence in the early 2010s as a member of the Odd Future collective. His deep voice and thought-provoking words quickly made him stand out in the alternative hip hop scene.

His debut album Doris released in 2013 was praised for its dark atmosphere and original production. He followed with I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside in 2015, a deeply introspective project that solidified his reputation as a singular artist.
