Flore Laurentienne

Flore Laurentienne is a unique musical project led by Quebecois composer and arranger Mathieu David Gagnon. Celebrated for its lush, cinematic and evocative sound, the project blends classical chamber music with elements of minimalism, jazz and post-rock. The music creates a stunning sonic landscape that feels deeply rooted in the natural beauty and vast spaces of Quebec. Gagnon’s compositions are characterized by their intricate use of string arrangements, particularly his reliance on the warmth and texture of the string ensemble. This creates a sound that is both grand and profoundly intimate.

The debut album, 'Volume 1', and its follow-up, 'Volume 2', were critically acclaimed for their innovative approach and their ability to evoke vivid imagery without words. The music is a testament to the power of instrumental storytelling. On stage, Flore Laurentienne delivers a mesmerizing and elegant performance. Their shows are a beautiful, immersive experience where the detailed arrangements and emotional depth of the music captivate the audience.
