Foreign Journey is coming near you with a rock tribute devoted to the catalogues of Foreigner and Journey.
The group revisits songs associated with two acts that helped shape rock in the 1970s and 1980s. Formed in 1976, Foreigner achieved international hits with Cold as Ice, Juke Box Hero and I Want to Know What Love Is. Journey, formed in San Francisco in 1973, added Don't Stop Believin', Open Arms and Separate Ways to the American rock canon.
Foreign Journey brings these two musical worlds together in one project, focusing on each band's best-known songs. Its announced repertoire includes Don't Stop Believin', Cold as Ice, Separate Ways, Open Arms and I Want to Know What Love Is, along with a cover of Oh Sherrie, the Steve Perry song. That selection reflects Perry's importance in Journey's history, as he was the band's lead singer during its most prominent years. Foreign Journey offers a direct path into rock melodies that became radio classics. For classic-rock fans, the project places songs that helped define popular music in their era within one shared tribute.
