Hawthorne Heights

Hawthorne Heights is an American rock band associated with the emo and post hardcore scene of the 2000s.

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, the band became known for a melodic style defined by expressive guitars, emotional choruses, and a balance between clean vocals and heavier passages. Hawthorne Heights quickly connected with audiences through the album The Silence in Black and White, driven by songs that became genre staples such as "Ohio Is for Lovers" and "Niki FM". These tracks helped shape the band’s identity and firmly establish their place within the alternative music culture of that era.

Their success continued with If Only You Were Lonely, which features popular songs like "Saying Sorry" and "This Is Who We Are", further confirming their presence on the North American rock and emo scenes. Over the years, Hawthorne Heights has continued to evolve while staying true to their roots, releasing albums that explore themes of nostalgia, loss, and resilience.
