Henge

HENGE is coming near you with a British electronic rock project from Manchester that brings together space rock, electro, psychedelic funk, and avant-pop.

The group calls its world Cosmic Dross and builds a science-fiction mythology around four fictional characters: Zpor, Goo, Sol, and Nom. This identity unites Matthew Whitaker on vocals and guitar, Pete Turner on bass and synth bass, Roy Medhurst on synthesizers, and Sam Draper on drums.

Following the Cosmic Dross EP, HENGE released the albums Attention Earth!, ExoKosm, Alpha Test 4, and Journey to Voltus B. Its catalogue includes In Praise of Water, Indigo Dust, Demilitarise, Exo, Get Outta Ma House, Wanderlust, Get A Wriggle On, Ascending, and Slingshot. Alpha Test 4 was produced with Jim Spencer and mastered at Abbey Road by Frank Arkwright. HENGE also received the Live Act of the Year prize at the Independent Festival Awards and a silver award from the Tokyo Film Awards for the New Planet music video. The group further developed its universe through a comic book series created with Tom Eglington, Boo Cook, and Phil Buckenham.
