Ibeyi

Ibeyi is coming to a city near you… Ibeyi is a French Cuban musical duo made up of twin sisters Lisa Kaindé and Naomi Diaz, known for their unique blend of alternative soul, electronic music, jazz and Afro Cuban and Yoruba influenced traditions. Based in Paris, they sing in English, French and Yoruba, a language connected to West African spiritual traditions, giving their music a strong cultural and emotional identity.

Their self titled debut album Ibeyi, released in 2015, quickly gained international attention with tracks such as River and Oya, highlighting their minimalist production style and intricate vocal harmonies. They followed with Ash in 2017, an album exploring themes of memory, resilience and family heritage, featuring a notable collaboration with Beyoncé on the track Shango. In 2022, they released Spell 31, which introduced more electronic textures while maintaining their signature vocal intimacy and spiritual undertones.

Ibeyi is widely recognized for their deeply artistic universe, where cultural heritage, modern production and personal storytelling intersect to create a distinctive and cohesive musical identity.
