Jonquille

Jonquille is coming near you with an intimate, liberated and deeply personal folk universe.

The solo project is led by Mathilde Joncas, who is also a member of the Quebec band oui merci. Through Jonquille, the singer-songwriter transforms her romantic journey into sensitive songs exploring human connections, new beginnings and sometimes conflicting emotions.

Her first solo album recounts five years of polyamory and the realities of maintaining several relationships at the same time. Beginnings and breakups overlap to create a story that feels both personal and universal, supported by an unconventional and independent folk sound.

Jonquille openly addresses the joyful moments, challenges and lessons that shaped this period of her life. That honesty allows fans to discover an artist who embraces vulnerability while examining relationships with clarity, tenderness and emotional depth.

For listeners drawn to authentic Quebec folk and thoughtful songwriting, Jonquille offers a project filled with feeling, openness and truth.
