Julie Aubé

Julie Aubé is coming near you with folk rock and country songs rooted in Acadian culture.

Originally from Memramcook, New Brunswick, the singer-songwriter and poet is also a member of the trio Les Hay Babies. Her writing draws inspiration from her home region, human relationships, love and everyday emotions, with Chiac language playing an important role in her artistic identity.

Her solo catalogue includes the albums Joie de vivre, Contentement and Rurale, along with the English-language EP Boiling Over. Joie de vivre won Solo Recording of the Year at the Music NB Awards. Contentement later received Recording of the Year and earned nominations at the ADISQ Gala and the East Coast Music Awards.

On Rurale, Julie Aubé explores memory, grief, distance and attachment to the land through eleven songs blending folk rock, country and Cajun influences.

Fans of authentic Acadian music will appreciate her thoughtful writing, confident voice and deeply human perspective on life, community and belonging.
