(LA)HORDE is coming to a city near you with a French artistic collective founded in 2013 by Marine Brutti, Jonathan Debrouwer, and Arthur Harel, known for its work at the intersection of contemporary dance, video art, and digital culture. The collective creates choreographic works that explore collective behavior, internet culture, crowd dynamics, and aesthetics drawn from club culture and online environments. Their interdisciplinary approach has positioned them as a significant presence in the contemporary performing arts landscape in Europe.
(LA)HORDE has produced several notable works that contributed to its international recognition, including To Da Bone (2017), Marry Me in Bassiani (2019), and Room With a View (2020). These pieces explore themes related to youth culture, dance as a social language, nightlife spaces, and contemporary political tensions. Their work often features movement inspired by online communities, club scenes, and global urban dance styles.
Since 2019, (LA)HORDE has directed the Centre Chorégraphique National Ballet National de Marseille, continuing to develop projects that blend dance, film, and performance. This appointment marked an important milestone in the institutional recognition of their artistic practice and their contribution to contemporary dance.
