Mike D 5D

Mike D 5D is coming near you with a new project led by Michael Diamond, better known as Mike D and a founding member of Beastie Boys.

In 2026, he opened a new chapter with the band Mike D 5D, which brings together his sons Skyler and Davis Diamond, Eddie Ruscha, Will Graefe, and Milo Ruscha. The project grew from experimental recording sessions in his home studio, first with Skyler and Davis, then with an expanded group of collaborators.

Thank You, the debut Mike D 5D album, arrives on August 28, 2026 via Capitol Records. It is the first full-length offering of new music from a Beastie Boys alumnus since Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, released in 2011. The album contains thirteen songs, including Switch Up, What We Got, True Colors, Crypto, Make It Stop, Secrets Pt. I, Secrets Pt. II, and the title track Thank You. Its first releases establish an approach that combines rhythm, electronics, and songs with hybrid outlines. Mike D 5D continues the work of a creator associated since the 1980s with the evolution of rap and alternative rock, while foregrounding a new family and collective collaboration.
