Paradise Lost

Paradise Lost, the gothic and death-doom metal legends hailing from Halifax, England, invite you to an immersive evening at the heart of metallic darkness and melancholy.

Formed in 1988, the quintet led by Nick Holmes' distinctive vocals and Gregor Mackintosh's iconic riffs is renowned as an influential pioneer of several metal subgenres. The band has evolved over decades, exploring sounds from the brutal death-doom of their early days ("Gothic," 1991) to the atmospheric gothic metal that made them famous ("Icon," 1993; "Draconian Times," 1995), before incorporating electronic elements, and then returning to a more traditional heaviness.

Their music is a profound exploration of despair, existentialism, and the human condition, all wrapped in heavy riffs and a captivating dark atmosphere. With a rich and consistent discography spanning over thirty years, including acclaimed recent albums like "Obsidian" (2020), Paradise Lost remains a major and innovative force in the metal scene.
