Pelican

Pelican is an instrumental band from Chicago that has stood out since the early 2000s as a pillar of the post-metal scene.

Blending doom, sludge, and progressive rock influences, their powerful and immersive music forgoes vocals in favour of heavy guitars, intricate rhythms, and dynamic shifts. Albums like Australasia and City of Echoes have become defining works of the genre, and their live shows are renowned for their sonic intensity and precise execution. Each performance is a visceral journey that draws audiences into a richly textured, wordless world.
