Penticton Vees

The Penticton Vees enter a new chapter in the Western Hockey League after a first campaign that quickly established the franchise as a team to watch.

The organization builds on a rich junior hockey legacy in British Columbia, where the Vees captured a record fourteen BCHL championships. That tradition reaches back through decades of Penticton teams that have carried the Vees name.

The move to the WHL marks a major step for this Okanagan club, based at the South Okanagan Events Centre. In their first league season, the Vees won the B.C. Division title and reached the Western Conference Final. President, head coach, and general manager Fred Harbinson received the Lloyd Saunders Memorial Trophy as WHL Executive of the Year. Before the transition, the Vees had also won the Canadian Junior A national championship and set a Canadian record with 42 consecutive victories. Penticton Vees games bring together local hockey history, elite junior talent, and a new era of rivalries across Western Canada.
