Pinhead Gunpowder

Pinhead Gunpowder is coming near you with a punk rock legacy rooted in California’s East Bay.

The band brings together Billie Joe Armstrong on guitar and vocals, Aaron Cometbus on drums and lyrics, Bill Schneider on bass, and Jason White on guitar and vocals. Its members are also associated with significant punk groups including Green Day, Crimpshrine, Monsula, and Chino Horde. Pinhead Gunpowder formed as an independent project alongside those other musical paths and built a catalogue shaped by releases on Lookout!, Recess, and 1-2-3-4 Go!.

Its earliest recordings include the EPs Tründle and Spring, Fahizah, and Carry the Banner, along with the compilation Jump Salty. The group later issued the albums Goodbye Ellston Avenue and Unt, as well as Shoot the Moon, Compulsive Disclosure, West Side Highway, and At Your Funeral. Its recognised songs include Anniversary Song, On the Ave V2, West Side Highway, Dull, Beastly Bit, Mahogany, Losers of the Year, Mumbles, and Song for Myself. Through this catalogue, Pinhead Gunpowder holds an enduring place in independent punk rock from the San Francisco Bay Area.
