Psychotropical Orchestra

Psychotropical Orchestra is coming to a venue near you with a fusion of Latin rhythms, rock, afrobeat, dub, trip-hop, and electronic music.

Founded by Mariano Franco and Fernando Pinzón, the group has developed a distinctive and wide-ranging approach that connects tropical and psychedelic influences with sound exploration rooted in cumbia. Franco handles vocals and sound design, while Pinzón contributes guitar and sound design. Original drummer José Domínguez is also part of this musical project.

Psychotropical Orchestra's catalog includes the albums Invasion Psychotropical and Pacheco Sessions. With La Travesía, the group continues its journey with a self-produced project made up of seven original songs and a new version of La Cumbia del Robot. The album brings together cumbia, dub, and trip-hop while retaining the collective's interest in genre-crossing music. Its songs also address identity, migration, memory, and cultural belonging, themes connected to the musicians' own experiences.

Psychotropical Orchestra holds a distinct place in Latin alternative music through a musical language that brings Latin American heritage into dialogue with contemporary experimentation.
