Quadeca

Quadeca is coming near you with a career that has taken Benjamin Lasky from independent rap into experimental pop songwriting and concept albums.

Working under the name Quadeca, the American artist first built an audience on YouTube through videos and early rap songs. He has since developed a body of work that brings together rap, pop, electronic music, and orchestral production. His identity as a songwriter and producer is central to projects that favour narrative, character, and sonic worlds.

His discography includes Voice Memos, From Me to You, I Didn’t Mean to Haunt You, Scrapyard, and Vanisher, Horizon Scraper. I Didn’t Mean to Haunt You is a narrative album that follows a character after death. Vanisher, Horizon Scraper extends that ambition with the story of a sailor who leaves his past life to cross the ocean, in a project accompanied by a film. The album features an appearance by Danny Brown and songs including No Questions Asked, Waging War, Natural Causes, and Dancing Without Moving. Quadeca has also released Sisyphus, Tell Me a Joke, and House Settling. Through his conceptual approach and detail-oriented production, Quadeca has established a distinctive place in contemporary alternative music.
