smokedope2016

Smokedope2016 is an underground rapper and producer recognized as a pioneer of the "surfpunk" and "cloud trap" aesthetics of the 2020s. This artist is distinguished by a raw sonic approach, blending lo-fi textures with melancholic guitar melodies and jagged trap rhythms. His musical contribution lies in full self-production and a nostalgic digital-era aesthetic, driven by a monotone, textured vocal delivery that defines his projects' sonic identity.

The Smokedope2016 repertoire is built around short, hard-hitting tracks that have gained a massive following on independent platforms and social media. His live performances are renowned for their spontaneous intensity and immediate proximity to the audience, turning every show into an immersive experience centered on raw energy. By merging 2000s alternative rock influences with a modern vision of experimental hip-hop, he delivers a show focused on authenticity and internet culture. His appearances confirm his status as a leading figure in the new wave of alternative rap.
