Son of Dave is coming to a venue near you with music that revisits the blues through harmonica, beatboxing, looping, and vocals.

Behind the name is Benjamin Darvill, a Canadian musician known as a founding member of Crash Test Dummies. With the group, he contributed harmonica, mandolin, and guitar, including on God Shuffled His Feet. Son of Dave became his solo project, built on a meeting of rhythm and blues with funk, rock, and hip-hop.

His discography includes O2, O3, Shake a Bone, Call Me a Cab, and A Flat City. Songs such as Shake a Bone, Voodoo Doll, and Revolution Town mark this catalogue. Shake a Bone was also used in the television series Breaking Bad.

Son of Dave's one-man-band approach places rhythm and harmonica at the centre of his musical identity. His solo career has made him an original voice in contemporary Canadian blues.
