Surprise Surprise

Surprise Surprise, an iconic play by the illustrious Quebec playwright Michel Tremblay, promises an evening that is both funny and fiercely intelligent.

Dive into the heart of an absurd and delightfully rhythmic comedy, where "surprise party" preparations take a hilariously wrong turn. The scenario is simple: three women plan a surprise party, but a phone mix-up leads to the wrong person being invited – none other than the sworn enemy of the person being celebrated! It's too late to turn back, and the stage is set for an unexpected confrontation.

The play is acclaimed for its "cross-cutting structure" that transforms simple phone conversations into comical situations and sharp, witty dialogues, charged with wild irony. Beyond the laughter, it is the unique "musicality" and "rhythm" of Tremblay's text that fascinate, once again proving his genius for capturing the essence of human comedy. Prepare for an evening full of twists, turns, and guaranteed laughter.
