The Babe Rainbow

The Babe Rainbow is coming to a venue near you with its vibrant blend of psychedelic rock, surf rock, soft rock, and indie pop. Formed in 2015 in the Byron Bay region of New South Wales, Australia, the band features Angus Dowling, Jack Crowther, Elliot O'Reilly, and Miles Myjavec. Drawing inspiration from 1960s psychedelia, surf culture, folk, funk, and sunshine pop, The Babe Rainbow has earned a reputation for its laid-back grooves, colourful songwriting, and unmistakable retro-inspired sound.

The band first gained attention with its self-titled EP in 2015 before releasing its debut album, The Babe Rainbow, in 2017. Produced by Stu Mackenzie of King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, the album introduced the group to a wider international audience and launched its collaboration with Flightless Records. The band's momentum continued with Double Rainbow (2018), which reached No. 18 on the ARIA Albums Chart, followed by Today (2019), Changing Colours (2021), The Organic Band (2022), and Slipper Imp and Shakaerator (2025). Popular songs including Peace Blossom Boogy, Something New, Monky Disco, Johny Says Stay Cool, and Many Moons of Love have helped establish the band's distinctive place within modern psychedelic rock.

Over the years, The Babe Rainbow has toured extensively throughout Australia, Europe, and North America while building an international following attracted to its carefree musical style and vintage aesthetic. The group has collaborated with artists including Jaden Smith and has maintained close creative ties with King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, while continuing to evolve its own sound by incorporating elements of Latin music, soul, jazz, and soft rock. Its catalogue reflects an enduring appreciation for organic instrumentation, memorable melodies, and the spirit of classic psychedelic music.
