Johnny Cash shaped country, folk, rockabilly, and gospel music with his distinctive deep voice and songwriting that often focused on outsiders, workers, faith, and redemption. Known as The Man in Black, he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
