Heritage Park
The Heritage Park Historical Village is a large historical theme park located in Calgary, Alberta.
Opened in 1964, it is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the history of Western Canada, covering the period from 1860 to 1950. Spanning over 127 acres, the park features authentic buildings, faithful replicas and collections of period artifacts that immerse visitors in the daily life of the past.
Heritage Park offers immersive experiences with costumed interpreters, steam train rides, paddlewheel cruises aboard the S.S. Moyie and numerous educational activities. The site also hosts seasonal events that attract visitors from across the country. Its blend of living history and outdoor recreation makes it a must visit destination for families, history enthusiasts and tourists alike.
