The Royal Alexandra Theatre, commonly known as the Royal Alex, is a theatre in Toronto, Ontario, located near King and Simcoe Street.
The Royal Alexandra Theatre is a 1,244-seat, beaux-arts style, proscenium-stage theatre, with two balcony levels, built in the style typical of 19th century British theatres. Construction began in 1905 and was completed in 1907.
It was named a National Historic Monument in 1987, on its 80th birthday.
