Salle Claude-Champagne

Salle Claude-Champagne, located in Montreal within the Faculty of Music at Université de Montréal, is a renowned venue dedicated to music. Inaugurated on November 20, 1964, it has significantly contributed to the development and prominence of music in Quebec through concerts and recordings.

With a total capacity of 952 seats, divided between 635 in the orchestra section and 317 in the balcony, the hall is acclaimed for its excellent acoustics. It is equipped with prestigious instruments, including 9-foot Steinway and Fazioli concert pianos.

Each year, over 150 concerts and public events are held here, organized by the Faculty of Music as well as various cultural organizations and educational institutions. The hall also features state-of-the-art research equipment, facilitating innovative projects in musical performance and acoustics.
