Violet Chachki

Violet Chachki is an American drag queen, burlesque and aerial performer, model, content creator and recording artist, best known for winning the seventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Born in Atlanta and of Ecuadorian descent, she began performing drag at 19 and left fashion design school to fully commit to her artistic career.

She is known for her obsession with vintage glamour and often embodies the archetype of 1950s femininity. Her influences include celebrated designers such as Christian Dior, Thierry Mugler and John Galliano, as well as icons like Dita Von Teese, Bettie Page and Raquel Welch. She stands out for her visually striking performances, often featuring tightly laced corsets and aesthetics inspired by fetishism, latex and dominatrix imagery.

On stage, she captivates audiences with burlesque routines and aerial acrobatics, a signature she developed after her Drag Race win. In 2015, she released the EP Gagged, blending electronic music, dance pop and avant garde elements, with songs exploring themes such as fetishism and gender identity.
