Yoann Bourgeois & Patrick Watson are coming near you with a collaboration uniting two acclaimed creators from contemporary dance and independent music.

French choreographer Yoann Bourgeois has developed an artistic language centred on movement, balance, gravity, and changing spaces. He founded Yoann Bourgeois Art Company and also served as co-director of the Centre chorégraphique national de Grenoble alongside Rachid Ouramdane from 2016 to 2022.

Patrick Watson is a Montreal singer-songwriter whose work brings together chamber music, indie pop, piano, and atmospheric arrangements. His album Close to Paradise won the 2007 Polaris Music Prize. His notable releases also include Adventures in Your Own Backyard, Love in the Future, Wave, and Better in the Shade. His 2010 composition Je te laisserai des mots found a vast international audience and surpassed one billion streams on Spotify.

Their shared project, created in 2024, grew from conversations that began during the pandemic about ecological and social crises, as well as the power of poetry and imagination. Yoann Bourgeois leads its concept and artistic direction, while Patrick Watson is responsible for musical direction.
