1tbsp

1tbsp is coming near you with the house and dance project of Maxwell Byrne, an Australian artist and producer based in Brisbane.

Also known as Golden Vessel, Byrne launched 1tbsp after exploring house music through the monthly Sumoclic Nights events he hosted. The project took shape in 2021 with the EP kanashī, released through Sumoclic, an independent label he co-founded with Connor Grant.

Since then, 1tbsp has built a discography spanning house, electronic pop and club rhythms. The EPs Joan, It's Very Loud and Shine Love In preceded the albums Mosquito Love, released in 2023, and megacity1000, released in 2024. His tracks include No Nein with Mietze Conte, Four Tet Is My Godmother, Limosina with Cherry Chola, The City Never Felt So Good, Somebody Pay Nina and Calico. In 2023, Maxwell Byrne received a Grammy Award nomination for his work on BAYNK's Till It's Even. The 1tbsp story also includes appearances at Groovin' The Moo, BIGSOUND, SXSW Sydney, Listen Out and Laneway Festival. After touring Australia and North America, the artist continues to expand his electronic music project internationally.
