Anika

Anika is a German-British multidisciplinary artist whose music straddles post-punk, dub, krautrock and spoken-word experimentation.

Originally a political journalist in Berlin, she emerged on the music scene in 2010 with a self-titled debut album produced by Geoff Barrow of Portishead. The record was praised for its haunting minimalism and stark sonic palette, anchored by Anika’s cold, detached vocal delivery that brought eerie intensity to themes of social critique and disconnection. After a long hiatus, she returned with Change (2021), a bold and introspective album that confronts transformation, chaos and identity through hypnotic rhythms and atmospheric textures. On stage, Anika crafts immersive, cerebral performances where sound, voice and presence collide in mesmerizing fashion. Her work defies categorization, appealing to lovers of avant-garde pop, experimental electronics and politically charged art.
