BOGOTÁ is coming to a venue near you with a contemporary dance creation by Andrea Peña & Artists. Premiering at the Venice Biennale, this large-scale work draws inspiration from Colombia's capital to explore themes of identity, memory, resilience, and transformation. Canadian-Colombian choreographer Andrea Peña is internationally recognized for blending choreography, design, and visual arts into immersive, concept-driven performances.

Created in collaboration with nine performers and a multidisciplinary creative team, BOGOTÁ is inspired by Latin American Baroque traditions and magical realism, reflecting the contrasts, energy, and complexity of the Colombian capital. The production combines physically demanding movement with carefully crafted scenography, lighting, and sound design, creating an experience that blurs the boundaries between contemporary dance, installation art, and dance theatre. Co-produced by organizations including the Venice Biennale, Agora de la danse, and Danse Danse, the work highlights Andrea Peña's growing international reputation.
