Boy Falls From The Sky

Boy Falls From The Sky is coming near you with an autobiographical story written by Canadian actor Jake Epstein.

Developed with director Robert McQueen, this Talk Is Free Theatre production examines the journey of a Toronto artist who dreamed about Broadway from childhood. His roles are familiar to fans of musical theatre and television.

Jake Epstein became widely known for playing Craig Manning on Degrassi: The Next Generation. He later joined the United States tours of Spring Awakening and American Idiot before portraying Spider-Man in Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. Epstein was also part of the original Broadway company of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, appearing as songwriter Gerry Goffin.

Boy Falls From The Sky looks beyond those credits to explore the dreams, rejection, stage fright and heartbreak behind Epstein’s career. Through personal stories and songs, he offers an honest account of the determination required to pursue an artistic ambition when success does not unfold as expected. For longtime admirers, the work provides a closer look at the person behind his popular characters and Broadway roles, while giving new audiences an engaging introduction to his journey.
