Collectif9 is coming near you with an innovative approach that reimagines chamber music by bringing together classical repertoire, world music, jazz, rock and contemporary creation. Founded in Montréal in 2011, the ensemble is made up of nine string players dedicated to making chamber music accessible to wider audiences through original productions and diverse artistic collaborations. Its identity is built on a balance of virtuosity, creativity and openness.

Since its formation, Collectif9 has toured throughout Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia while presenting a wide range of original productions. The ensemble has also appeared at numerous classical music festivals and multidisciplinary arts events. Its artistic vision encourages dialogue between different musical traditions while showcasing the expressive possibilities of a string ensemble.

Collectif9's discography includes Volksmobiles in 2017, inspired by traditional music from around the world, Rituæls in 2020, which explores musical rituals across cultures, and Charcoal Grace in 2024, a collaborative recording with Australian guitarist and composer Plini. These releases reflect the ensemble's commitment to expanding the boundaries of chamber music through original programming and contemporary artistic partnerships.
