Darren Kiely

Darren Kiely is coming to a city near you with a sound that blends traditional Irish folk music with contemporary folk-pop influences. Born in County Cork, Ireland, the singer-songwriter grew up surrounded by Irish traditional music, learning the tin whistle at the age of five, the fiddle at eight and later teaching himself guitar. After beginning his singing career in 2019 and earning several national honours in Irish traditional music competitions, he relocated to New York in 2022 to further develop his career before continuing his songwriting journey in Nashville.

Kiely first gained widespread attention with singles including How Could You Love Me, Ella and Time To Leave, all of which appeared on Ireland's viral music charts. In 2023, he released his debut project, Lost, featuring songs such as Sunrise, Lost & Found, Inside My Mind, Blood Red and Mom & Dad. Mom & Dad reached the Top 40 of the Irish Singles Chart and the Top 5 of the Irish Homegrown Chart, while Sunrise became one of his signature songs. He followed with the EP From The Dark in 2024, continuing to showcase his heartfelt songwriting and folk-inspired sound.

Influenced by artists including The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons and Noah Kahan, Darren Kiely has emerged as one of the rising voices in modern folk music. His combination of Irish musical traditions, emotional storytelling and contemporary production has helped him build an international audience while remaining closely connected to his Irish roots.
